Whitehill Community Primary School in Halifax is a large establishment catering for nearly 500 children aged between 3 and 11 years of age. Dean Williams, the ICT Coordinator, first approached NCS in 2006 to help realise an ambitious ICT vision for the school. Since this time, NCS have provided many services for Whitehill which have included:-

Network Cabling

NCS have carried out extensive re-cabling work within the school including CAT5, CAT6 and fibre installations. The network has been designed to be scalable in order to meet future needs.

Wireless Network

In 2008, NCS provided Whitehill with a secure, school-wide wireless network. This allows pupils and staff to roam around the premises and stay connected to the school network. The wireless access points were sited following a comprehensive survey to ensure optimal coverage.

Audio-Visual Solutions

NCS have supplied and installed a number of Promethean Whiteboards with short-throw projectors into the classrooms. Additionally, NCS have installed a long-throw projector and large screen in the two school halls.

Microsoft Licensing

As a Microsoft Gold Partner and Authorised Education Reseller, NCS have advised and supplied a Microsoft Desktop Schools Agreement to Whitehill which has greatly simplified the administration of the PC and server licenses.

Supply of Hardware

NCS have supplied and installed computer hardware including HP Proliant fileservers and HP Procurve network switches.
